The Social inequalities of France during the 18th century was very tragic. Therefore the French Society was divided into three separate class the clergy, nobles and common people. The different classes were also known as the three estates.The main dispute between the three estates was paying taxes to the monarchs. The first and second estate didn’t have to pay taxes and this caused the third estate to pay all of the taxes which initiated a dispute. The third estate had no power to influence the government even though they consisted of ninety seven percent of the population. The condition of France’s economy became poor due to the foreign wars. The reasoning that the economy became poor is because King Louis XVI spent the country’s money on expensive war goods. The excessive amount of money spent caused to increase taxes for the third estates. King Louis XVI appointed Callone as the Finance Minister of France. Callone wanted to indict taxes on all three estates, but Callone was later dismissed by the king. By 1789 the country of France had became bankrupt, because France had borrowed money but overtime the interest had caught up and exceeded the GNP. Since the government went bankrupt, this caused many problem such as bad harvests, increasing poverty rates, and a higher unemployment
