This change came about when Petruchio showed her that he could be good to her, if she changed her behavior. When they arrived at Petruchio’s house, she was very angry at him for leaving her out in the rain while she was drenched from falling into a pond. When she walked in, he order his many servants to get food, which he then threw on the floor. He later taught her that what he said was what she would go by, and that caused her to become the loving wife that she was by the end of the story. She had been waiting for somebody to take the time to tame her and make her their wife, and she finally found him in Petruchio.
She had been wondering whether to get married for a while, but she was waiting to find somebody that would really try to teach her how to be a good wife, and Petruchio was just that. He showed her that he would be good to her as long as she loved him and was obedient. When she realized that, she submitted to her husband and lost her old anger and attitude and began to change into a loyal wife. Petruchio taught her how to be a good wife, and also showed that he would do anything for her, but only if she stayed loyal and compliant. She did this, and by the end of the story she was
