How Did Justin Trudeau Impact Canada

Canada would not be the country it is today without the phenomenal achievements of numerous historical figures. Throughout history there have been many Canadians who have impacted both Canada and the world with their many significant contributions. Former Prime Minister, Pierre Elliot Trudeau and Tommy Douglas, a former social democratic politician, are two leaders that stood out in the social and political progression of Canada. Justin Trudeau on the other hand, the current Prime Minister and Rick Hansen, a philanthropist and Paralympian, both largely impacted not only Canada but also the world. Along with social entrepreneur and child rights activist, Craig Kielburger who created better lives for children as a world renowned Canadian innovator. …show more content…
He is slowly changing and benefiting both Canada and the world with new initiatives by firstly stepping up and changing the cabinet to become multicultural and gender balanced. By taking this step it could show other world leaders and politicians to follow in his lead and understand the great benefits from having a more diverse cabinet. He is also taking big steps to help improve the environment by realizing how large of an issue climate change truly is and with this he recently went to sign the Paris agreement on climate change. He did this at the ceremony of the United Nations and there he gave his word that Canada’s efforts will not cease. Which showed that Trudeau is fully capable of change and will do everything within his power to help reduce climate change. Another way that Trudeau is helping the world is by removing Canada from being associated with the bombing of the Islamic states of Iraq and Syria. Trudeau mentions that nothing good will come from the bombings and that the poor civilians in both the countries will still suffer. With this knowledge he ended combat, however he mentions that he will not stop trying to defeat ISIS. After retreating from the combat, Trudeau declared that Canada was going to be taking in over twenty thousand Syrian refugees. The world saw the struggle the Syrians had in their country and they did everything to escape. …show more content…
