To further the point, the Famous Roman Dictator Julius Caesar was many things, he was greedy, he corrupt, he was cold, and maybe worst of all Caesar was Brutal and indiscriminately so, he killed regardless of race, sex or, religion. If he wanted someone dead, they would die. this is the case with the Rhine River massacre. On that fateful day by the Rhine river, there was a massacre, it was uncalled for and undeserved, and the criminal who committed the act remained free for the rest of his life until, of course, the day he was killed. Even the dictators fellow, Romans, did not approve of his actions as is shown by Dodge (1892), “... Cato openly proposed that Caesar's head should be sent to the surviving Usipetes…” (p.155). As one can see, even Caesars fellow Romans were horrified by the atrocities that he had committed. Even going so far as to openly condemn him and call for his death. Few people agree with what Caesar did that fateful day when he wiped out an entire civilization which is probably one of the first known acts of genocide in history. Few historians say that what he did was good or even called for, what Caesar did on the battlefield was monstrous and only served to seals his fate.
