How Did John Kennedy End Terrorism?

John Kennedy is one of the current frontrunners for the Republican party in the race for senate in Louisiana. The Republican lawyer is a graduate of the University of Virginia and is currently the state treasurer. Mr. Kennedy has been endorsed by many conservative state officials and, judging by his website, he is quite proud of that.
Mr. Kennedy strongly believes that Islamic terrorism will be the death of our country. I disagree simply because Islamic terrorism isn’t the only kind of terrorism or extremism, for example, the shooting at Planned Parenthood in 2015 was never labeled as a terrorist attack but it actually was a perfect example of it. Terrorism is violent intimidation in the pursuit of one’s opinion which could also mean that the four police officer shootings in Baton Rouge were acts of

Mr. Kennedy wants to “protect life” but not all life, the lives of people in other countries don’t matter to him. I understand that he wants to end terrorism but, considering his small and vague blurb on terrorism on his website, he sounds like he is biased against Islam because he doesn’t write about other extremist groups. If Mr. Kennedy really wants to protect life he should be working against war and violence rather than abortions because of the circumstances that one could have when getting one. A woman getting an abortion could be a rape victim, in that case, why should a woman who was a victim of sexual harassment be burdened with a child whose biological father is a felon, it just wouldn’t be fair to the woman or the child. Also, a child could be born into unfortunate circumstances. Many people get pregnant and do not have the means to raise a child. Giving a child up for adoption is an option but that child may not go to a forever home and they may end up in foster care until they are 18 which, once again, isn't fair to the

Kennedy was a man that had many other issues that should have been considered during the time during his election that were more important than his religion. Kennedy was a man who suffered from uncontrollable pain and had a reputation of being careless and a bit promiscuous. This were not as important during this time as the only thing many Americans could focus on was the fact that Kennedy was a catholic. Ironically, when told that someone should write a book about what type of Catholic Kennedy was his sister replied by saying that it would be a terribly small…

The interpretation of Kennedy and his years in the White House are vast and contradictory; “as both confrontationist and conciliator, hawk and dove, decisive leader and hesitant improviser, hyperbolic politician, and prudent diplomat, idealist and pragmatist, glorious hero and a flawed man of dubious character.” The decade following the Kennedy assassination was mostly associated with the works of New Frontiersmen; the sympathetic ‘Camelot school’ narrative which assisted to stimulate the ‘Camelot legend’ and the almost mythical sense of idealism of the Kennedy years. The Camelot school were constructed upon the foundation of a climate of collective grief shared by the American nation; ‘spearheaded’ by Kennedy, created by speech writer Theodore Sorensen and stimulated by the work of Arthur Schlesinger; ‘A thousand days’…

The least convincing between the two arguments was the article written by famous ex-basketball player, Kareem Abdul Jabbar. Although his argument was well stated, it only offered a limited view on the Charlie Hebdo terrorist attacks by Muslim Radicals. Jabbar spoke out as a Muslim-American and condemned the actions taken by “Muslims” in Paris, France. Jabbar later went into depth about how the American people lived through a similar phase, back when the Ku Klux Klan roamed American soil. He used that information to support his claim that Muslim terrorists are not Muslims, in fact, they are simply people trying to make money and pinning it on the Islamic religion.…

Those that are pro-life say that life begins at conception and that they law must uphold and enforce this concept because these unborn children don’t have a voice. A statistic from Child Trends says, “Approximately 1 million teenagers in America become pregnant each year. Of those, 78% are unintended. Teens may choose to have an abortion because they have concerns about how having a baby would derail important personal goals; they worry about the financial responsibilities associated with parenthood; or they feel that they are not mature enough to become a parent” (Teen Abortions, 2014) Many couples or single women are put in situations which can cause unwanted pregnancy and are unable to take care of the child. Instead of putting themselves and the child in struggles, it is better if they can give the child to another family to be taken care of.…

Startlingly, there is only one child available for adoption for every thirty-six couples looking to adopt in America (Brown, 2012). Furthermore, there is a plentiful amount of infertile parents who would be overjoyed to adopt a young baby girl or boy. The ease of abortion and its speedy process has attracted many women who want to move on with their life as soon as possible. Children born into unwanted families grow up in poor conditions, which do not give them an opportunity to advance themselves socially or economically. This is one of the main reasons abortion should be legal in certain situations. Abortions provide a way for a child not to suffer along with the parents. It also cuts down on births in the overpopulated world.…
