Then they started talking about how the fire started spreading. After that they stated how the fire department was blowing up buildings. They also told how everyone used toys and buggies to move. The organization was like a time line. Even though the story was organized well the chaos was unimaginable for me. I can't imagened what it was like for the people who need to move.
The authors purpose in writing "The Story of an Eyewitness" is to inform everyone what happened from his point of view. He wrote it to tell how terrifying the fire was. As well as what happened while the fire was going on. It's not often that a disaster is told by a victim from there point of view.It a scary and interesting story. I was sad for those who lost there homes.
Universal knowledge is common knowledge, every one knows it without being told. Earthquakes can cause a lot of damage. Fire can spread very quickly with wind and dry wood. 110 years ago building were mostly wood since stone was hard to come by. Upheaval is chaos. San Francisco will be rebuilt. Humans are very persistent. It's was a scary time. I feel pity for the people who need to move and lost there
