There were loads of occurrences which led to the Renaissance, such as wealthy merchant class, the classical heritage of Greece and Rome, the competition between city-states to see who had the finest arts, and of course I cannot ignore the fact that the plague was one of the most responsible parts, because it all started from the idea that all the survivors of the plague wanted to celebrate.
The first part I want to highlight is humanism. Humanists were the one who started to view the world in a different perspective: they influenced artist and architects to carry on classical traditions, they began to think of human beings as more interesting and smart, they were searching for individuality everywhere and in everyone, and also they showed people that its okay to do the thing they weren’t allowed to do before, they started realizing that everyone is important and that not just God is all that matters.
Basically humanism was about that educated people started actually inventing stuff, they weren't just sitting around and listening to what church says as they did before. Humanism changed Europe. …show more content…
As Italy was the wealthiest region of Europe back then, and it was the centre of trade there, Italian people could discover other cultures, because they had a lot of contacts with Near East, they got a chance to share ideas, which led to inventing something new. Unfortunately, that also was the reason of the plague, which i mentioned as one of the basic occurrences which led to the Renaissance, but as we know now, later it all turned out to be good - once the plague died down, population exploded - if before there was a big population of poor people, now it was a small population of rich people, who were able to fund.
