How Did Hitler Invade Poland

Hitler invaded Poland because he wanted to regain some of the territory Germany lost World War I . He captured Poland by using a battle strategy called “Blitzkrieg,” a strategy where they first perform bombing runs in the air, knocking out railroads, communication lines, and weapons depot. Then, the ground troops would come in with tanks, infantry, and artillery, killing off the rest of any resistance. The Polish Army was unable to defend against Hitler’s Army because they were under-equipped. They also weren’t modernized ,meaning they attempted to attack the ground troops with their horses, while the Germans had tanks. Overall, this invasion was the start of World War II.

The Battle of Britain was all out air battle between the British Royal Air Force (RAF) and the German air force called the “Luftwaffe.” This battle lasted from summer to the fall of 1940. The objective of the Luftwaffe attacking Britain was to overpower the RAF. Although they attacked many of the British posts, bases, and even civilians, they still were unable to defeat them. One important aspect of the Battle of Britain was the invention of radar. This new technology allowed the British to detect German aircraft and direct the RAF to intercept. The ability to see enemy aircraft incoming allowed the British to win the Battle of Britain. This attack on the U.S was a significant event because this is what brought the U.S into the war. Despite this event, Japan and the U.S have been on the way towards war for some time. The U.S did not like the attitude Japan gave towards China. Once Japan invaded China, they were enraged. In other words, the attack on Pearl Harbor was what brought the U.S into World War
