Greek culture had a large impact on Roman Culture forming many new traditions and changes for Rome. The impact caused Rome to adopt and change their own culture a quite a bit. A way that they did this is worshipping the same gods as the Greeks but called them by different aliases. Romans liked Greek plays and epics, which made them want to perform like the Greeks did changing how they had done them before. Greece was well-known for its artists and teachers and this made the romans envy them, paying for children in Rome to be taught by Greek scholars and teachers or by sending them to schools in Greece instead. Romans enjoyed Greek literature such as the Iliad and the Odyssey, as well as literature from other Greek poets and authors.
