He battled this for about a year. One day it got so bad he went to the ICU and they had to put him on life support and in a coma. He was like this for four months and he wasn't improving in,fact he was getting worse and the doctors gave our family the choice to take him off of it or leave him on it. We decided that he should be taken off of it because we didn't want him to be in pain anymore and he could finally be at peace. Therefore, killing another is a justifiable act in situations like Capital Punishment, Euthanasia, and with the case of George and …show more content…
After Lennie killed Curley's wife, the other guys had their mind set on killing Lennie for what he had done, but George decided he should do it himself so it wouldn't hurt him as bad as knowing that he let other people do barely know Lennie, do it. Even though George knew he was better off without Lennie in his life he's even told Lennie “I could be living so good without you getting me in trouble and outta a job” (Steinbeck). Honestly George knows he’d be better off in his life without Lennie, but he doesn't want to leave Lennie because he knows he would be alone and put in place for the mentally impaired people. Although, George wants to keep one job and possible get a wife and have some children, but he can't do that because of Lennie and his way of not being able to keep a job. Lennie also is aware that George does not want to keep leaving because of his mess ups and when he was alone, he told himself “George gonna wish he was alone an not have me bothering him’ He turned his head to the mountain ‘I can go right off an find a cave,” (Steinbeck). Lennie has a knows he's gonna do something bad and George will be mad at him again and not be happy with him again so he's contemplating running away so George doesn't have to deal with him bothering him anymore. To conclude, killing another for no reason or if they have wronged you and you just don't like them is not okay, but in some cases killing another is justifiable and is for a good reason. Killing another who is suffering and in pain or the total opposite and have committed a very bad crime like killing, bombs, ect. Although, some people may disagree with “Is killing another a justifiable act?” people do agree with that and think it is a good idea and should be enforced in all the

I, personally, don’t think George was justified in killing Lennie, but some of the evidence from the text proves otherwise. Most people saw Lennie as a child and not a grown man, which is understandable, and that may be one reason why George wanted to get rid of him. Many times he was called a child or people would say he acted like one. For example, when Lennie brought the puppy in the bunkhouse and George made him take it back, Slim said, “He’s jes’ like a kid, ain’t he.” Lennie was constantly in trouble which made it hard for George to keep a job for long.…

In the novella Of Mice and Men written by John Steinbeck the main protagonist and his friend’s relationship reflect the lyrics of the song written by Lifehouse. When first introduced to the characters, the reader originally thinks that Lennie is dependent on George. In truth, George needs Lennie just as much to survive. To open, despite George constantly saying that he should have left Lennie a long time ago, he never does until the very end when he is forced by the circumstances. On page 11, George says: “‘ If I was alone, I could live so easy.…

Even though Lennie acts like a child, George still needs him even though he may not know it . George would feel as if he had let Lennie’s Aunt Clara down by not protecting Lennie. Also, George has never left Lennie’s side, no matter how much trouble he’s gotten in. For instance, when Lennie got in trouble in Weed, George didn’t have to come, but he willingly did. At the end of the book when Lennie had left the ranch for accidentaly killing Curley’s wife, George had found Lennie right in the spot he was told to go.…

Death Penalty The Death penalty is a highly controversial topic in present day politics. The public is concerned with how America’s most dangerous criminals are held responsible for their crimes as well as how they will be kept from harming others. It’s reasonable to want a mass murderer to be punished in a manner that removes further threat, but is it our place to decide if his or her life should be ended? In other words, is it moral for society to prescribe murder as retribution for murder?…

Good morning, my name is Ursula. In today’s presentation, I am going to introduce George Orwell’s short story “a hanging”. The author put his wrath and objection on this fiction. I’d like to cover four points in my speaking: the wrong of taking another one’s life; people have no right to execute the capital punishment to the prisoners. And I will put these two parts together to introduce.…

There are many murders that occur every year. People get killed for random and stupid reasons, for example, when an individual cheats on their partner. People need to find other solutions instead of killing someone. The death penalty doesn’t make the situation any better, because another person's life is also being taken.…
