Galileo was a famous scientist that changed the world. Even though a lot of people doubted him he proved them all wrong. He had many interests like music, space, and gravity. Galileo Galilei was born in Pisa Italy February 15, 1564, the same year William Shakespeare was born and Michelangelo died (Hilliam,2005). Galileo was the oldest of seven children, and had four sisters and two brothers. He was homeschooled until the age of ten by Jacopo Borahini. He learned grammar and mathematics, but he liked to build mechanical toys. 1574, was the year Galileo and his family moved to Florence, Italy and he had to go to school for the first time. He learned about Religion, Latin, Mathematics, Physics, and Astronomy (Goldsmith,2001).
