The Renaissance- After the middle ages came the Renaissance (1300-1700), which was a rebirth to a still recovering Europe. It was a time of great cultural development. As technology continued to further develop Europe was able to communicate efficiently, conquer known and unknown lands. Along with the development of inventions came new theories. Italian Scientist Galileo carefully observed and studied the universe. He believed that the Earth revolved around the sun. A contrary belief to what was popular at the time. This would inspire and aid other scientists such as Sir Isaac Newton who added onto Galileo’s theory by stating that anything in the universe was bounded by gravity.
