He has mostly ignored the conflicts which were occurring in Europe and Asia. He did this because he wanted to be neutral and not get into any fights with anyone. By being neutral everyone had to be careful not to make a wrong move and anger them. In Latin America even though there was a policy of USA not intervening they were still in charge over there.
Roosevelt had introduced the new deal in order to help the USA go through the tough time of the great depression. However even though he had the best intentions the new deal didn’t help that much, since its purpose was for equality but it was far from that. In conclusion besides President Lincoln, Franklin D Roosevelt has done the most for the United States and was a great leader who was loved by many. The first time he was elected was in 1932 because the people believed he would help them through the Great Depression and he did to some extent.
