It comes free to all Cuban citizens, child or adult, all the way to the highest level of university. In the Cuban constitution, article 51 it states “Everybody has a right to education. This right is guaranteed by the means of the extensive and free system of schools, part-time boarding schools, boarding schools and scholarships in all types and at all levels of education, by the free provision of school materials to every child and young person regardless of the economic situation of the family, and by the provision of courses suited to the student’s aptitude, the requirements of society and the needs of economic and social development,” which mandates first-class education to everybody in the country. There is a high quality of teaching with small class sizes that allow for more one-on-one time for the teacher and student. This has proven successful for the simple fact that the teachers develop a closer bond with the students and foster the ability to concentrate more in regards to what the individual students need to know, or needs more time on in order to provide them with a highest quality of education they have the opportunity to get. Article 50 in the Cuban Constitution, which passed in 1976 winning 97% of votes, mandates that all Cubans hold entitlement to receive free medical, health, and dental care and that the government promotes a healthy lifestyle as long as the citizens abide. The Public Health Law states an obligation to protect citizens health including rehabilitation given to anybody with any mental or physical disorders, illnesses or injuries.
