African slaves werebeinmg bought and sold everyday in the Atlantic world. There were many causes of the incfrease of African slave trade, one of them being the need for cheap work. When the Europeans were first moving to the new world they needed people to work on their plantations and tabbacco farms. Their first option was the native americans, bur too many of them were dieing of european diseases, warfare, and brutality for a steady work force. So, the freshly settled europeans turned toward the africans. Europeans saw many advantages in Africans.
