That shows that she loves and care for everyone not jut herself. Just because she is making so much money in her life does not mean that she is such a bad person is she does not have time the talk to her friends of have fun with them. Ms. Badu is a hard-working African American who takes what is hers and lives her life knowing she pleases all of her loyalty fans. Badu is spreading love through song. According to Ms. Badu in line 14 of “Friends, Fans, Artist Must Meet,” she argues that “spending my life trying to numb the pain.” by saying that she means, all her life she has been trying to impress everyone and get rich and very wealthy when all you need is love. Ms. Spend half of her life searching for the wrong thing. Another reason why she is trying to numb all of the rest of her pain is because she gets on that stage every performance and smile and make sure her fans never sees her down and sad because she wants them to think she is just living the life of a superstar but deep down inside of Ms. Erykah Badu heart and soul she is hurting so bad that she can barley bare it all.
