English becomes the major language that I use in my daily life, however, when I was in elementary school, I thought the English course was unnecessary and defeat. In China, about in my fourth grade in elementary school, English became a required course, and it is as important as Chinese and Math lessons. Because during that time, the United States, Britain and other countries that English is their mother tongue, become the top world 's strongest countries, and that making English become the world 's common language. So the Chinese government makes English course turn into mandatory. During that time, because of several reasons, I felt English course was unnecessary and felt defeat. Before the government started to let students have to learn English, we only had about two mandatory lessons, which were Chinese courses and Math courses. I usually will get A or A- on both of them, as well as other elective courses. So that means I had very high GPA when I was in the primary school, and I felt so proud of that, even though the classes were easy during that time, but that was all before I got the D or F in the English course. During that time, no matter how hard I tried, still I could not get a better result. All the letters and words seemed not to like me, so I just could not learn it well. For example, according to what my parents said, when someone was willing to teach me about how to read English vocabularies, I always felt very funny about the pronunciation, then laughing about it at the whole time. My parents said it just looked like I did not want to learn and read the English. This showed I do not like English or I felt that it is a difficulty, then I could not have a good grade in the English course. Therefore, I got a lower GPA compare to the perfect GPA at the beginning, which did not start English class in my elementary school. Due to the United States become the top world’s country and that much of America drama I saw, I start to learn English better and knowing how important it is. Moreover, the attitude changes about what I feel about English, and that changed my world. The major change of my world or my future is that I came to the United States for my undergraduate now, and that makes a huge difference if I stay in China and do not study English. If I did not change my attitude about English, I could not achieve what I have today, and that also made English become the daily language that I use all the
