The life and works of Edwin Hubble

Edwin Hubble was born november 20, 1889, in Marshfield Missouri. When he was a child he loved both books and sports.He had a chance to be a boxer but instead chose to be a scientist/ astronomer. He is famous for many discoveries and tools used today. He before becoming a scientist he was in a war of some sort I believe it to be world war 1. He also i’m sad to tell later in life had some medical problems which resulted in his death.

When he was young he was a great scholar in both athletics and most other subjects.He sailed through high-school he graduated at age of sixteen. When he graduated he was excepted into the university of chicago. In College he was still deep into sports as he always was. He later

The first thing he did was make a way to organize stars. He also had a theory proven to be fact the hubble law which basically is the farther the galaxy is from us the faster it goes so if it’s close it’s slow if it’s far it’s fast. He also found that the universe is ever expanding. His universe theory of that the universe expands was the found to help the idea of the big bang so his findings were important to scientists. The very last thing he did before he died was make a new telescope which was stronger than the hooker telescope and it was named the hale telescope and he was the first to use it.

He was great in the athletics and academics. He was also very talented in other things of course. Hubble legacy he did made many wondrous scientific findings. He was one of the best astronomers oh and fun fact he actually corrected Einstein and Einstein thanked him for it. Hubble also got a wide variety of awards but there was one he couldn’t get because his field didn’t cover it but they changed it after he died.
