On Wednesday, October 26/2016, at about 1755, I Officer C. Montenegro (#1609) while on duty in the east control tower at Shawshank Prison, I saw an unidentified inmate enter the laundry room. That inmate was later identified as Dufresne (37927/E112). I saw two other unidentified inmates come from behind the laundry barrel; one inmate was later identified as Boggs (31804/B234). The second inmate, was later identified as Conroy (31428/B234). I saw that Dufresne took a step back with a startled look on his face so I used my radio to call in a possible Code Yellow (inmates fighting). Dufresne pushed off the lid from the laundry barrel; he grabbed with his right hand a handful of a white powdery substance, later found to be bleach powder.
