He says it was created for that era and he never expected that it would still be relevant in the future but it still is. It is held to a very high esteem even today and sometimes referred to as the “10 commandments of good design.” The basic message behind these principles gets you to ask yourself as a designer if it’s good based upon if it meets these different areas. Is the design innovative, useful, aesthetic, understandable, unobtrusive, honest, long lasting, thorough, environmentally friendly, and simple. It’s all about the bare minimum, complementing the environment or product, and basically cutting out what is in the way or not
