People migrated from rural areas into populated cities, After the plague ended the people had to rebuild. The survivors looked to the past and used greek and roman ideas for inspiration. Then Greek and Roman influences led to the rebirth of learning and arts and humanistic world views known as the renaissance.
Dante Alighieri was one of the most influential and important poets and writers of his time, the early renaissance. Born in 1265 Florence italy The italian poet was the child to Alighiero De Gelincine. Dante was a normal child learning at home how to become a politician, but then it all changed when the renaissance started. Dante then pursued a career as a writer. When Dante was in his late 40’s he wrote his most famous book “The Divine Comedy.” In his book Dante is tasked with going through multiple areas to get to God these three places being Inferno (hell), Purgatorio (Purgatory), and Paradiso …show more content…
Dante’s biggest contribution to society was changing literacy italian forever, this means how people write italian, the grammar they use, and how they format a sentence. This lead many to believe and call him the father of italian. Dante didn’t only inspire other italian to write in italian he inspired other city states to write in their own vernacular without him people would still write in latin. One minor contributions is that he contributed though is religious fiction other poets at the time only wrote in fantasy universes that they created but Dante inspired others to use already existing universes and and add characters and locations.
