How Did Culture Change Over Time

Over the years, people have changed, culture has changed, the world has changed. My only way of surviving throughout the years has been to evolve with the world. Adaptation has been essential. I am forced to change my beliefs with the wind to blend in with the society. Countless dear friends have come and gone; I do not even remember my first family. The number of wives I have outlived over the years has made me numb to everything. I have outlasted my own children numerous times over the years. I am forced to abandon them before they can realize my curse. The church is the only one that know of the sins that I have committed. Luckily for me, my religion has not had to change drastically over the years. Christianity has gone from being suppressed to being the leading religion. It still confuses me as to why some of the new people refuse to convert. There is so much that this religion has to offer. However, people still insist on staying with their current religion. The largest empire I had seen in the whole span of my life was left in the hands of many non-Roman people, which is why many people are still arguing whether or not Rome fell. I choose not to pick a side to save myself the effort of having to change my opinion later on in life when people agree on a mutual opinion. Either way, Rome is weaker, but large empires come and go. In my life, I have watched this happen a couple of times. I wish there were others like me who are cursed with a life that just will not run out. If there were some, then I could place bets with over what country would be the next to conquer or who the next big leader would be. Winning one large wager would let me have the opportunity to stop working for the rest of how ever long my life is going to
