The Scientific Revolution was a key part of our history. It was a time where new theories about the world were introduced, and where science was key. There were many scientists that developed these theories that we use today. One of these scientists was Nicholas Copernicus.

During his lifetime, Copernicus did not share his theories with the world because of the oppressing Catholic Church. He feared that it would contradict with the Bible. He instead kept his work more private, but this did not stop people from learning about his works. Scientists of the time like Galileo and Kepler used his works for developing their own theories. Galileo actually proved Copernicus's Theory to be true, but was punished by the church . His findings not only impacted the world back then, but also impacts the world now. Copernicus’ finding still impact the world today. With modern astronomy, it has been proven that his theory about the sun being at the center of the universe, and has proved that the Earth orbits the sun, and how the Earth spins on it. This is what makes the different seasons, and why we have day and night.
