To understand China’s distinctive family structure and culture, all one should do is study the historical character of a man named Confucius. Confucius wasn’t a famous emperor who fought a war or commanded an army, nor was he a warrior who bore a sword or crossbow in a battle. Instead, he was an educator whose words, documents, and teachings helped construct China’s family dynamics.
His philosophy’s and ethics were handed down for centuries as he became the most renown influences and teachers of ancient China, helping to mold families, in subtle, yet powerful ways. These quotes strongly demonstrate how Confucius helped define the relationships between parents and children; how he created traditions; and formulated customs that were ingrained into China for centuries.
Yet even with the credible evidence presented, one might argue and say that the great emperors of China or the kings of this time period who went to war made the most substantial changes to China during its classical age and beyond. However, these rulers reformed China logistically. They didn’t create the footing of Chinese principles like Confucius
