How Did Christopher Columbus Exist

A voyage unlike any other led Christopher Columbus to the land that we now call home the Americas full of prosperity and chance. When people say he didn’t discover anything because it was already there is like saying to J.J Thomson he didn’t discover the inner workings of an atom because they were already there. Now it’s August 3, 1492 and Columbus sets sail and the most dangerous trip the world has ever known (Bodenner). If you can remember back then people thought that the world was flat and there was only one big landmass that ever existed, people literally did not know what was out there. When sailing with his three small ships he almost faced mutiny two times because no land had been found and the crew of 90 men …show more content…
He said he would return with reinforcements (Bodenner). After a rigorous trip back to Spain he then returned to his ship fort and found the men dead and the fort abandon. The natives of neighboring villages attacked the fort and killed them. They were told by the first natives from the first voyage (Bodenner). Instead of lashing out and killing them
He moved to another island and made a settlement called Isabella. After making that settlement he then started trading with the natives who happened to be trading gold quite a bit. He asked several times where they kept getting it. That caused several arguments and several hunts for the natives gold. Both sides began to get aggressive toward each other. The heightened tension was like TNT waiting to go off. Yes, Christopher had better weapons to defend themselves, but it’s not his fault that the Europeans adapted and revolutionized the world at that point. Columbus Is a brave man that took on the unknown. He found the land that would be ours someday. Who knows if he wouldn’t of found it, would you be
