In the novel Into The Wild by Jon Krakauer , we are introduced to Chris McCandless, who is searching for himself. McCandless was ultimately trying to discover what it felt like to be independent by examining his life through the wild.
“No one is yet certain who he was... two notes found at the camp tell a wrenching story of his desperate and progressively futile efforts to survive.” This quote is important because it is a newspaper article from NY and that means Chris’ story was heard about all over the world (Krakauer 98).
