When we are texting it puts our bodies into an unnatural position (VanWingen). Our shoulders are rolled forward, head down, neck flexed (VanWingen). Positioning the body like this puts excessive strain on ourselves. Data shows how resting the neck like we do while texting can place a tremendous amount of stress on the spine of the neck (VanWingen).
