How Did Brutus Kill Caesar

Many people may think that Brutus killed Caesar for the safety of Rome because Brutus states,"...as I slew my best lover for the good of Rome,...". But the thing that doesn’t make a good understanding for me is how does the killing of Caesar help Rome? Brutus says that he wanted the very best hat he could give Rome, the only reason that this was said is because he felt strongly honored to be in such a great country. Brutus and Caesar may not have ever agreed on any decisions for Rome but who would and why would they kill their best friend over

Based off of the information given to me in the play, and in videos, Caesar would have hurt the empire of Rome. “Yond Cassius has a lean and hungry look; He thinks too much: such men are dangerous”, Caesar once said. This shows that he acknowledges a potential enemy, but does not take action upon it, proving how naïve he is. Brutus knew this, and therefore he acted upon it. I do not believe he acted out of spite against Caesar, rather he did what he believed was the best for Rome, which supports my belief that Brutus is a patriot.…

By this, Brutus means that once Caesar attained too much power and recognition, he forgot about those less fortunate than him and began to view himself as a god rather than a servant to his people. Because of this, despite his reservations, Brutus comes to the conclusion that Caesar’s coronation would be disastrous to Rome and that he must be stopped. Since Caesar 's rise to power seemed inevitable at that point, the only way to avoid it was through his death. This motive shows that the conspirators sought to sacrifice Caesar in the name of Rome’s well-being, rather than brutally butcher him in an act of…
