Close your eyes and imagine a world without America and electricity. The world in your mind would become reality if it wasn’t for the actions of one man, Benjamin Franklin. Discovering electricity with his legendary kite experiment, and helping America in the revolution serving as a diplomat and a head figure, Benjamin franklin is perhaps the most impactful figure throughout the history of America. The fear of lighting faded from the public, as the invention called lightning rod has been created and patented by Benjamin Franklin in 1749. The revolutionary invention utilized the nature of lighting studied by Franklin, and use its property to dissolve the lighting safely. His work as an diplomat was such a crucial part in the war, even the generals of the continental army admitted that without the help from France, they would not have won the war. Although Thomas Jefferson was the principal author, the main ideas of the Declaration of Independence was said to have come from Benjamin Franklin. Without his constant work to free the colonies, without his brave nature and his loyalty to the colonies, America would have been a concept in the minds of many.
