Before Bradlee died, he guided the post’s transformation into one of the world’s largest newspapers. Bradlee always wanted to create an important newspaper that would go far beyond any other newspaper. Bradlee accomplished his goal by compelling what he thought was the best of the best news stories. His stories that he picked to put in the newspaper were, aggressive and engaging feature stories. Bradlee only hired what her thought were the best and talented staff to write the stories. This all helped him become, who people thought was, the best editor of his time. Bradlee had some pretty important news stories printed, such as the Watergate Affair and stories about the Vietnam War.

All he wanted was for the Post to be noticed and with this story it definitely was. The way Bradlee thought was that he should always hire people smarter than him and encourage them to do there best.
