In the Early Renaissance, the Medici family was the financial influencer of Florence, and architectures were inspired by the classical world, education, economy, and science. Hence, the French High Renaissance has numerous Italian influences. For example, in c1510, Primaticcio designed the “Chateau De Chambord.” There are two influences in this palace: Italian and Gothic. An Italian architect planned the bottom half with three horizontal stacked stories. It is organized, proportional, and symmetrical. This is because Francis adored the Italian Mannerism style, therefore, had an Italian planner. On the other hand, the roof was designed by a Frenchman with Gothic inspiration. For example, Pope Pious III asked Michelangelo to redesign a common area between two existing buildings. In c173, the “Equestrian Statue of Marcus Aurelius” was built during the Aurelian art period. Therefore, in c1540, Michelangelo had to implement the dominating statue in “Capitoline Hill.” The floor area is encompassed in an oval, not a circle because it alters the viewers’ perspective, therefore, giving them a psychological response. In the Roman location, it is on the same road as St Peter’s Cathedral. Therefore, Capitoline Hill was strategically placed in the line of sight of St Peter’s Cathedral which Michelangelo also created.
