Saint Angela of the Cross was taught how to pray the rosary by her parents at a young age. She was usually found at a church praying. In the month of May, Angela and her parents built an altar in honor of the Virgin Mary so they could pray the Rosary together. At work, she and her co-workers would pray the rosary and learned about the lives of the saints. On account of Angela’s health, she was rejected from the Discalced Carmelites in Santa Cruz. Angela tried entering another nun community, the Daughters of Charity, in Seville, where she was accepted. The sisters tried to heal Angela by sending her to Cuenca and Valencia, but there was no success. Angela then left the Daughters of Charity and returned to work at the shoe shop. In 1873 during
