One day in Greece, Zeus noticed that the people were suffering. He also noticed that there wasn’t any water, so he tried to get some. He thought for a moment, and came to the conclusion that he has the clouds and sky, so he can make water come from the sky and clouds. He also thought about how water in the ocean is salty, so he can naturally purify it when it evaporates. He also thought that the sun can bring the water up into clouds, or to make clouds. So Zeus then went to ask Poseidon if he can borrow his water. Poseidon said “Zeus give me back my water!” Zeus calmed him down. Zeus said “Look, if we do this, it will make the people respect us more and they will be more pleased with us.”
Poseidon then agreed, but felt like there still should have been a punishment. “You need to still have a punishment for your disgusting behavior, so, I came up with something, where will be an overflow of rain and it will drown everyone”. “This something called a flood”. Zeus agreed, but asked, “Can floods can happen rarely?” Poseidon got mad again. He said things like, “why can’t falling water happen rarely”, or “It shouldn’t happen in general.
Zeus then said “It is for the best, and I is the king of gods, and I killed Kronos, and it will make the people more happy then sad”. So Poseidon agreed, and Zeus sent a message in the stars, saying how this all happened, because of Zeus and Poseidon. The people then prayed to them, and gave them more respect. This then got all gods to also agree with the idea of rain and floods. They also then spread rain and floods to the whole
