In all of history, there are few crimes known by the majority of the world. One of these crimes took place in the years between 1933 and 1945. A man named Adolf Hitler organized the majority of the Holocaust, arguably the largest genocide in history. In order to have a large enough impact to commit a crime so large he had to obtain immense power. Hitler was a very strong leader with a natural knack for public speaking. Although irresponsibly used, he found himself with a great deal of power because of these traits.

He wanted a revolution and planned to get one. On November 9th, Hitler led three thousand men into the streets. The police were waiting for him and in turn, sixteen Nazis died along with three policemen. The police arrested Hitler and sentenced him to five years in prison (I Wonder – Adolf Hitler: Man and Monster). He served nine months and then was released. While not all agree that people who have served a sentence are "bad people", it seemed reasonable that this should have been the first clue that Hitler needed to be watched closely instead of followed blindly. Hitler began leading the Nazis to become the largest party in Germany. The German President at the time became concerned with Communist support, and because of this, was persuaded to title Hitler Chancellor.
