He changed the way of life for African Americans back in 1861 and still is making an influence today. Abraham Lincoln was different than normal men back then. Most men were selfish and only cared about themselves and what concerned them. Abraham Lincoln wasn’t like that, he went out of his way to go against the whole Southern half of the country he was representing just to help the African Americans.
If Abraham Lincoln never established the Emancipation Proclamation, African Americans might still be in the same predicament today. The population of African Americans has gained immensely since Abraham Lincoln's presidency. Slaves would be all over the place if it was never abolished. If Slavery was never abolished the North and South would still be in a huge disagreement, and the Civil War would have gone on forever.
In conclusion, Abraham Lincoln was ranked the number one president out of all 44. He changed the way of life for African Americans. He may not have been a favorite for the South, but the North loved him and Lincoln was the slave's miracle. He ended the country’s number one problem,
