He was known for his humor and folksy anecdotes and he loved to tell all kinds of jokes, big stories, puns, and yarns, usually poking fun at himself. He used his humor to drive home his points. Sadly all of these things would come to an end too soon for Lincoln by an actor named John Wilkes Booth (who lincoln admired) on April 15, 1865 at Ford’s theatre (lincoln life). “Lincoln was the first American president to be assassinated.
