I Love Carina Alternate Ending

“It was terrible, but it leads me to this question: How can you willingly leave someone you love so much? Or do you not really love Carina?”
Not love Carina? What kind of madness was that? A frustrated Ulrich explained, “I love her! More than anything.” He reached down and fumbled in his belt pouch for the betrothal ring and held it out to Merlin. “I was planning to ask for her hand a few days ago,” he said, brandishing the piece of jewelry. “I’m leaving because I love her. Because I don’t want her to live a life feeling ashamed and obligated to me.”
Merlin took the ring from Ulrich’s hand. “This is a fine ring. I’m sure she would love it. But did she tell you she was ashamed? Or that she didn’t want to be with you any longer?” The man handed

“She shouldn’t have to be burdened with someone so damaged. What would people think of her for marrying someone who isn’t whole? She could have her pick of the kingdom when it comes to men. She’s young and beautiful… kind and passionate. And she’s successful! She has a good business. Carina has her entire life ahead of her. It would be best if she found someone else, which won’t be difficult for her.”
He imagined Carina with Michael, his roommate. Michael had changed with women. Perhaps Michael and Carina would be happy together again… The notion frustrated him and he snapped his stick in two
“I see,” Merlin stated. “So, the man who lost his arm in saving the king AND queen’s life, a hero in the eyes of the citizens of Camelot, that man’s somehow not good enough for Carina? How silly of me not to see that.”
“It’s not like that, Merlin!”
“Ah, then forgive me for being so foolish.”
“You’ve no idea what you’re talking about!” Ulrich barked. “No one sees me in that way… as a hero. Least of all myself.”
“Yes, they do. As do I, the king, your friends and fellow knights, Carina…”
Ulrich, feeling as if he was on trial, rested his head in his hands.
“What do you want from me, Merlin?”
“Just to talk it

Orgon, the head of the household in the comedy Tartuffe: a respected man by his friends and family and righteously served the King; he is a rational, sane man but questions emerge when he becomes ludicrous and he is not the same man as he was before. He demonstrates a form of satire because of his strong-willed mind of Tartuffe and then being tricked into the fraudly innocence of Tartuffe. His actions lead to different conflicts within the family which leads us to believe that he is careless with his family and under a “spell-like” obsession to have salvation. Dorine tells Cleante in Act 1, Scene 2 that Orgon once ruled the house hold while he was still in his right mind, and that Orgon is now intoxicated with Tartuffe. (1.2.149)…

The stories of knights from Arthur’s round table of lore have endured hundreds of years, demonstrating the valor and chivalry of these men. During the late 19th century, when the short story Carmilla was published, the ideology and the meaning of being a woman were different than those of today. Women of that time period were viewed as inferior to their male counterparts. They were given no power of their own, and were required to rely solely on the men in their lives. J. Sheridan Le Fanu was clearly opposed to the status quo by the themes he presented in Carmilla. In the story, Carmilla pushes the set gender boundaries by taking on the role of the male in her relationship with Laura.…

The web series stays loyal to Carmilla reprising the role of the female vampire in the story, while also implying other female romantic relationships. In the short story Le Fanu’s choice of using a female vampire oppose to a male alters the way in which the audience reads the relationship between Carmilla and Laura. Without a doubt, Perceval knew Arthur would never set Guinevere aside. While Perceval hadn’t been present at the king and queens nuptials (he’d not been a knight yet), Arthur always spoke about how his marriage to Guinevere was a love match, which was something new and different. Few royals married for love – most wed to advance their status or secure alliances with other kingdoms.
