Has changed over the last several decades. Back then when a Christian worldview was more prominent, things such as abortion, homosexual marriage, pornography along with others, were evaluated almost exclusively from a Christian worldview perspective. Even though not everyone in society agreed with the Christian point of view, but the majority, along with the ones who were in positions of authority, did. A different basis for assessing morality is now in control. Today there are many political debates we see on television disputing and favouring political policies which promotes abortion, homosexual marriage, and socialist economics to name a few. Other forms of how postmodernism has affected society is through the classroom where teaching of the evolution theory is seen as a fact. And of how we also see sexuality being on displayed in TV shows for example as a norm. A Naturalistic worldview is now more prominent on the nation’s stage than a Christian one. And in public polling, while a majority will still answer that they are Christian, a large percentage of those who claim to be Christian hold views which are patently not Christian.http://www.marketfaith.org/how-worldview-affects-our-society/ In modern American society, there is a move to create a governmental structure which has a different purpose than what was originally established. This alternative structure is born out of a Naturalistic worldview and has its most prominent expressions in socialism and communism. Rather than recognizing the accomplishment of God’s purpose as its primary goal, this form finds its purpose in the hopes and desires of humanity. And the individual humans which get to determine this are the ones who have control of power.
