I read two stories that I am going to compare and contrast. The stories are “The Legend of the Chinese Zodiac” and “How Cats and Mice Became Enemies.” I will compare the stories first and then contrast them. These are the similarities of both stories. In both stories the rat or mouse was clever. The rat escapes the cat in these two stories. At the beginning cat and the rat were best friends. The cat almost drowned in the story. The rat always ends up angering the cat. There are many differences as well to the story. In the Chinese Zodiac story there is a race and in the other story the cat mouse are just going to town. In “How Cats and Mice Became Enemies,” There are no other characters just the two. Also In this one they ride a pumpkin,

    The Sniper and Cranes have differences that give two opposite ideas of the story. The main focus of The Sniper targets the civil war and the repercussions that follow it, whereas Cranes focuses on the loyalty one has to family and friends.
