September 14, 2016 Problem Carbon monoxide (CO) has no smell to it and no color as well (Walker, 2011). CO affects the body as a result of a particle of CO simply binding to the oxygen in the blood (Walker, 2011). As a result, oxygen becomes unable to be transported to the body (Walker, 2011). Poisoning from CO is actually being suffocated from within (Walker, 2011). Also, the poisoning from CO continues to increase over time (Walker, 2011). Being exposed to low concentration levels of CO for an extended period of time has the potential of the same danger(s) as being exposed to high concentration levels over a short
