How Can A Family Survive An Aftershock Earthquake?

The movie Aftershock (2010) depicts a life of a family who survived the catastrophic event of 1976 Tangshan earthquake. Unfortunately, every member of the family did not survive the earthquake. Fang Daqiang, the father, was killed by the debris of collapsing apartment, where the two children, Fang Da and Fang Deng, were during the earthquake. Two children were severely injured by the fall of collapsing building and were buried together under a huge debris of concrete. Li Yunnai, the mother, had to choose who to save because lifting the wall in any way would kill the another. Eventually, Li Yunnai chose his son, losing his arm in the process.
