How Box Turtles got their shells
Turtles used to just be like lizards and snakes, they had no shells. But one day a turtle was walking along by the man village when suddenly something fell on his back, his back was stuck in this box the size of his back and he couldn’t escape. All of his friends thought it was cool and began to get boxes stuck on their backs too. Then all of the turtles’ backs started to be formed like a box. The skin started to harden on their backs and soon it was normal for the skin to be hard on a turtle’s back and they named it a shell and from then on all box turtles had shells.
