How Are Compeyson And Magwitch Alike

Compeyson and Magwitch are so similar yet so different. Compeyson came from a well settled, upper class family and had a good education, yet on the other hand, Magwitch was an orphan from the lower class and was illiterate. Even though they were so different, they were both mere larcenists. Magwitch stole to survive but Compeyson had no reason, he did it out of schadenfreude. Even if they came from such different backgrounds, Magwitch and Compeyson went on analogous hero’s journeys. Even from the beginning, both Compeyson and Magwitch were very comfortable in their lives as thieves. Then, once Compeyson met Magwitch, he contemplated a plan to use him in his evil deeds.
