Alcohol is widely used around the world from North America all the way to Africa and in-between. People typically drink alcohol for different reasons; to have a good time, to deal with problems, social pressure, happiness, or because they think its cool. But the reality is that alcohol is worse for people that it seems today. Although alcohol may have some health benefits the disadvantages of it outweigh it significantly. Alcohol kills 2.5 million people a year for several different reasons. Alcohol causes people to become addicted to it and ruin their lives because of it. Alcohol damages a person’s health.

It is reported from MADD that 2.8 million people have admitted to being behind the wheel while under the influence of alcohol. Due to that there is a potential of having 2.8 million collisions on the road each year in Canada putting new and experienced drivers at risk on the road.
