to combat this there are several design features that could be implemented. one example is the implementation of a cloak room, for personal security and the protection of personal property, this is also a safety feature as it stops potential incidents involving any personal items such as bags, coats or other items of clothing. another security feature is have the chemicals stored in a separate room, with a lockable door. this is a good security feature as it means that only authorized personnel can access these chemicals, this means that should any chemicals go missing or are not replaced then the appropriate person can be found in order to rectify the situation. this also stops any chemicals being stolen, as these chemicals may be expensive and potentially dangerous in the wrong hands. one other security feature is to have all apparatus stored in locked storage cupboards. this stops any unauthorised use of equipment and stops any equipment from being stolen, this is important as the equipment may be expensive and could even be damaged when not used correctly.
