I have decided to apply for Housing Customer Service Adviser because I have recently completed a degree in Health and Social Care with guidance and counselling. These subject’s area is quiet similar to this profession whereby some of these modules were based around social policy , housing ,homeless and Housing Act (1996) amended .I believe my awareness from my studies has enabled me to develop a further academic understanding of housing . During my studies I mainly focus on housing issues such as reasons why an individual becomes homeless, anti-social behaviour and rent issues such as rent arrears and ways to deal with and avoid homeless as a way of tackling the root causes. Additionally, during the last ten years I worked as a support worker with young people and adult with disabilities, as well as elderly people with physical disabilities, Parkinson and dementia. This involves working with people who have problems in their lives and whose action can cause significant danger to themselves and others. Like a professional my role is to help people live independent lives and provides services to support, care and protect them when needed. I became more confident to take on the initiative, plan and organise work effectively on this job. I can work independently, meet deadlines and seek help if necessary. I am able to make decisions independently and take responsible for my action. I also enjoy working as a team and ensure I contribute effectively to the task at hand. I believe that working as a support worker, I take on responsibilities will be similar in some ways to this post , which I believes can also help to fulfil this role as a Housing Customer Service Adviser as I am passionate about these groups and I hope my applicant is
