Housing Aid Advisor Personal Statement Essay

I have decided to apply for Housing Aid Advisor because I have recently completed a degree in Health and Social Care with guildance and counselling. These subject’s area are quiet similarly to this profession whereby some of this modules were based around social policy , the causes and preventions of homeless and Housing Act (1996) amended .I believe my awareness from my studies has enable me to develop a further academic understanding of homelessness. During my studies I mainly focus on housing issues such as reasons why an individual becomes homeless and ways to deal with and avoid homeless as a way of tackling the roots causes. Including the laws and legislations that covers and protect these individuals including that Housing Act 1996, section 7 (amended). Whereby the law explained the situation which gives an individual the criteria of homelessness, such as: (if the individual is threatened with homelessness or is likely to become homeless within 28 days.) whereby this person would have the priority to be housed. My studies have really help me to gain an interest and passion and for these group so that all three years of my course I focus of housing and homelessness as my main topics and even went on to conduct my dissertation on the key factors leading to homelessness. I believe that one reason for this passion is personally I was homeless at one point although I was not aware of the different types of homelessness including hidden homelessness until I undertake this
