House: Should Kids Get Paid?

Decent Essays
Yes I help my parent around the house and no i dont get paid because it is responcabilaty. Its a family thing you dont see the parents getting paid every time they clean the house. No kids should get paid because it is something you should do everyday if you dont do it then how are you going to learn. The problem is if kids get paid then in life they will never learn the correct way.It is a family thing. I think kids shouldnt be paid because when they grow up and have a house they will want to get paid. We have to do chores not because of a reward but because we want to. If we pay you to do chores then you might take a break and then loose your money for that week and then the house will get dirty that week. Chores isnt about a paying job.

Why should kids get paid for good grades? In my opinion i don’t think that people should get paid but want to get good grades without having to be paid. Most people think that it is ok to pay kids for grades but they should want to make them to show how smart they are. Some reasons i don’t think we should not get paid for the grades that are made are it could mess up the value in education, they could start loving that cash and not the subject, the kids can start to want more than what they are getting.…

Every parent raises their child a certain way and there are multiple different parenting styles that parents normally choose from or do without realizing. Raising your children in a way that will not teach them how to take care of themselves as adults will affect their futures more than you would think (Lalicon). If a child is not taught how to do certain housework throughout their childhood, they might never learn how to do it themselves, especially if their parents do everything for them. Schools could very easily fix this issue. Throwing a class about life into a student’s schedule will benefit them immensely, particularly if they are stuck in the parents not teaching them these skills situations.…

In the selection 2.71, motivation is evident where it says if one is selfless, they shall be free and be with the Lord. This selection actually brings in the topic of selfishness and that being selfish essentially causes one to be trapped and separated from the Lord.…

Teachers generate thirty percent less each year compared to other college graduates (Orlin). Is that fair? A fifteen year teacher produces LESS than a college graduate who has no experience and is probably not ready for the real world? Something has to be done to show teachers across the United States that the nation thanks them for their service and they have been heard. Even though others believe higher pay could lower teaching qualities, teachers should be paid extra because they create the basis of education for billions of people, they are underappreciated, and they deserve higher credit.…

According to Clare Levison, “ I think it can be an effective incentive, as long as you’re using it as a teachable moment to tell them about budgeting and saving.” But undoubtedly this could be challenged because even if students were being paid in the long term, their academic performances are lower than those who are not getting paid. Students who want to lean will be better than those who are only studying to get money. In addition, getting paid may be effective, but it is external and is generally short- term. Students should not be bribed and should study to get an education and not money.…
