the Heroes of Olympus series. But it starts off from where the Percy Jackson series ended, so it is
technically the 9th book. This book or series is played off from Greek and Roman mythology. This
specific book was published in October 8, 2013. Currently, the 10th book is now out. The intended
audience for this book are teenagers. The genre is fantasy adventure. But since this is the 9th book in the
series I should give some background.
First off, the original series (Percy Jackson series) was all from Percy’s point of view and in first

that the story is now being told from his point of view. Using this manner of writing, you can get inside of
all the main character's head that switches off randomly, so you can’t predict whose perspective you are
going to see next.
The House of Hades has many positives, one being since there are so many characters, it makes it
so there a variety, makes it a variety personalities that the reader can relate to. For instance, Leo. He is
one of the 7 main characters, and he is my favorite character. He is a Latino who is the comic relief of the
book. The group can always count on Leo to ease up the tension of group. Another positive from the
group is that they all started out as a nobody or an underdog, and since everybody loves an underdog
story, it makes for a good read, seeing as how all these demi-gods have overcome their own challenges
circumstances. But those aren’t the only positives about this book, as I mentioned before, he writes this
series in a unique way. Third-person, and every chapter he changes up the point of view using the 7 main
characters. Making it a thriller to read. Moving on to the events of the books, it was an amazing read,
