The two diagrams demonstrates how heating a house occurs using a pellet stove and a boiler.

For a pellet stove to operate, first, wood pellets are loaded in the fuel hopper where it descends to the fuel feed. These pellets are then burned in the combustion chamber and ashes fall in the ash pan below it. Hot air rises and finally distributed through the combustion fan. The smoke from this process goes to the exhaust duct, located in the rear of the machine.

A pellet boiler almost works the same way as a stove in which pellets made of wood are fed into the fuel hopper and burned in a furnace. The remains then goes to the ash receptacle and smoke is excreted outside the house through the smoke stack. Cold water goes to the furnace where it
